Ellendale Country Club is the best-kept secret in the South. Here you’ll discover eighteen holes of championship golf amid a unique setting of cypress trees and Spanish moss covered oak trees. Ellendale is a very scenic family-friendly golf course and is home to various wildlife. Golfers should not be surprised to see beautiful white egrets fly over the golf course as the country club is just minutes away from Sportsman's Paradise, the Gulf of Mexico, where you will find some of the best fishing in the world. You may also see an alligator or two sunbathing near one of our many ponds on the course.
Ellendale Country Club is a Joe Finger-designed 18-hole golf course set in the heart of South Louisiana. The challenging par 72, 7000-yard golf course has enjoyed hosting many popular events over the last 39 years. In 2006, Ellendale was honored with being the 1st U.S. Kids Golf Family Friendly Golf Course in the Gulf States PGA and now has 2 sets of children's tees in the fairways, green and yellow. In 2004 and 2005, Ellendale was contracted by the Tight Lies Tour and the Children's Coalition for the Bayou Region to host the Hibernia Open. In 2006, Ellendale again hosted the popular event however, the name of the event was changed to the Capital One Classic.
In 2002, Ellendale experienced a two million dollar renovation of the golf course. Areas that were renovated include greens surrounds, tee boxes, fairways, and new mounding on the course. Ellendale also re-designed and added new ponds and water features and a new irrigation system on the course. In addition to our very scenic and challenging golf course, our facility features a well-manicured putting green and driving range.
